42Features and menusV-Chip Unrated Program BlockSelecting this option lets you decide if programs that the V-Chiprecognizes as “unrated” can be viewed. Note that “unrated” TVprograms may include news, sports, political, religious, local and weatherprograms, emergency bulletins, public announcements, and programswithout ratings.View All unrated programs are available.Block All unrated programs are not available.Don’t forget to lock parental controls after you change the status ofunrated program viewing. If you do not, the limit will not take effect.Channel BlockSelecting this option lets you decide what channels can be viewed.View Makes the selected channel viewable.Block The front panel and remote CH (channel) buttons will tuneonly to channels that you have marked as View. You may tune to ablocked channel manually by using the number buttons andentering the correct password.Don’t forget to lock parental controls after you change the status ofChannel Block. If you do not, the channel block will not take effect.Front Panel BlockSelecting this option lets you block (disable) or unblock (enable) the TV’sfront panel. The remote still tunes to any channel. Front Panel Block can:• Keep children from watching TV when the parent is not present.• Keep small children from playing with the buttons.(When using this as a Parental Control method, you should removeaccess to any remote capable of controlling the front panel while youhave the Front Panel blocked.)Don’t forget to lock parental controls after you change the status. If youdo not, the front panel block will not take effect.Lock/Unlock Parental ControlsSelecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls settingsusing a password.If you do not lock parental controls, none of the settings for V-Chip, Channel Block, or Front Panel Block will take effect.If you forget your password, press and hold TV on the remote and theMENU button on the television simultaneously for 3 seconds.
