87ReferenceUsing Direct Entry1. Turn on the TV to be programmed.2. Look up the brand and code number(s) for the TV on the code listin this section.3. Point the DVD Player’s remote at the TV.4. Press and hold the TV button on the remote you want to program.5. Enter the code from the Remote Control code list (pp. 88).6. Release the TV button, and then press ON•OFF to see if the TVresponds to the command. If it doesn’t, try pressing the TV buttonand then ON•OFF again.7.
