It’s the easiestmethod, but it can sometimes take longer than some of theother programming methods.UÊÊ /iÊBrand Code Search searches through the codes forselect brands of devices. It’s not as easy as the auto codesearch, but it can be faster.UÊÊ /iÊDirect Code Entry lets you enter a code from theaccompanying code list for your brand of device. It’s not aseasy as the other methods, but it’s potentially the fastestmethod.UÊÊ /iÊManual Code Search lets you manually go throughall the codes for the device you’re trying to control.Testing the Code for Maximum Functionality1. Try a variety of the device’s functions with the remote. Ifsome device features don’t work, go to next step to try adifferent code.2. Repeat the Auto Code Search Method from the beginning.7iÊÞÕÀÊ`iÛViÊÌÕÀÃÊvv]Ê`ÊÌÊÃÌ«ÊÃi>ÀV}°ÊInstead, with the unit now off, continue to press the PLAYkey every 5 seconds until the unit turns back on.3. Once the unit turns back on, press the REVERSE key on theremote every 2 seconds until your device turns off again.7iÊÞÕÀÊ`iÛViÊÌÕÀÃÊvvÊ>}>]Ê«ÀiÃÃÊÌiÊ-/"*ÊiÞ°4. Test the key’s functionality again by attempting to controla variety of the device’s functions. If the code that hasbeen stored controls the majority of the device’s functions,programming is complete. If the code stored does not givemaximum functionality, try another code.Auto Code SearchThe Auto Code Search goes automatically through all theV`iÃÊvÀÊÌiÊ`iÛViÊÞÕ½ÀiÊÌÀÞ}ÊÌÊVÌÀ°Ê7iÊÞÕÊw`Êthe one that operates your device, you can stop the search andstore that code.1. Manually turn on the device youwant to control.2.Ê *ÀiÃÃÊ>`Ê`ÊÌiÊ`iÛViÊiÞÊÞÕÊÜ>ÌÊÌÊ«À}À>°Ê7iÊyou’re holding down the device key, use your other handto press and hold the remote’s " U"Êkey at the sametime.3.Ê 7>ÌÊÕÌÊÌiÊ" U"ÊiÞ comes on and stays on. Thenrelease both keys.4. Point the remote directly at thefront panel of the device youwant to control. Press PLAY onthe remote and wait 5 seconds.The remote is testing a batch of10 codes on your device.Did your device turn off?YES: Go to step 5.NO: Press PLAY again. The remote tests the next batch of10 codes.Ê ii«Ê«ÀiÃÃ}Ê*9ÊiÛiÀÞÊxÊÃiV`ÃÊÕÌÊÞÕÀÊ`iÛViÊturns off.5. 7iÊÞÕÀÊ`iÛViÊÌÕÀÃÊvv]Ê«ÀiÃÃÊthe REVERSE key on the remoteand wait at least 2 seconds.The remote tries the last of theprevious ten codes.Did your device turn on?YES: Press the STOP key. You’redone! You’ve programmed thisdevice key.NO: Press REVERSE again.
