Extendedhigh-volume listening can lead to permanenthearing loss.Weather AlertsTo hear weather alerts, select the WX band andpress ALERT. The ALERT indicator lights. Whenan alert is received, the ALERT indicator flashes,and the radio beeps. Press ALERT to listen tothe weather band broadcasts.Charge Other DevicesUsing power from the radio's rechargeablebattery pack, you can charge a device with USB-charging capabilities (USB cable not included).1. Connect yourdevice (notincluded) to theUSB port on theside panel usinga USB cable (notincluded) with atip that matchesyour device (maximum charging voltageand current 5V/500mA). Refer to yourdevice to check the charging status.2. Slide the USB ON/USB OFF switch onthe back panel of the radio to ON whencharging, and switch to OFF when finished.• Set the volume to the lowest setting. Thenturn on your audio device and adjust thevolume to a comfortable level.• Avoid increasing the volume.
