6CONNECT SPEAKERSYou can connect an external CB speaker or PA speaker toyour CB. A CB speaker provides greater clarity. A PAspeaker lets you use the CB as a public-address system.External SpeakerTo connect an external CB speaker, use a speaker rated at8-ohms and capable of handling 5 or more watts of power.Plug the speaker cable's 1/8-inch plug into the EXT SP jack.Connecting the external speaker automatically disconnectsthe internal speaker.Public Address SpeakerTo connect a PA speaker, use an 8-ohm speaker capable ofhandling 5 or more watts of power and equipped with a 1/8-inch connector. Plug the PA speaker cable into the PA SPjack.
