For improved reception, you can connect an external AMantenna. Your local RadioShack store has a wide selection of AM antennas.To connect an external AM antenna to your radio, use a Philips screwdriverto loosen the screw on the external antenna terminal, slide the externalantenna's spade lugs underneath the screw head, then tighten the screw.FOR BETTER FM, TV, OR UHF RECEPTION:Your radio has a telescoping antenna for FM, TV, and UHF reception.NOTES:When you use the telescoping antenna for FM or TV reception, be surethe metal straps are connected.When you use the telescoping antenna for UHF reception, be sure themetal straps are connected.For improved reception, you can connect an external antenna.
