The battery is nowunlocked.Unlocking the batteryDOWN TUBE BATTERY SEAT TUBE BATTERY2. a) Down tube battery: Grip the battery with both handsand lift it forwards/upwards out of its holder. In do-ing so, hold on tight to the battery to avoid droppingit. Place the battery down on a suitable surface. You should now remove the key and keep it in a safeplace to prevent it from breaking off or being lost.5.1.2 Charging operationBefore charging the battery, read the directions onthe charger carefully.1. a) Down tube battery: Take the charger provided outof its packaging and plug the mains plug into a socket(230–240 V).b) Seat tube battery: Take the charger provided andthe docking station out of their packaging and plugthe mains plug into a socket (230–240 V). Connect thecharger to the docking station. The LED in the chargernow lights up briefly in red and then permanently ingreen.To charge the battery safely, the charger must beplaced on a suitable surface. This should be dryand non-flammable.Seat tube battery: The charger must be supportedon its four feet.
