19The GriddleAlways clean the griddle after use. Allow it to cool completelybefore removing. Immerse the griddle plate in hot soapywater. Use a soft cloth or, for stubborn stains, a nylon washingup brush.Note: If the griddle is washed in a dishwasher then somedishwasher residue may appear on the back. This is normaland will not affect the performance of your griddle.Glide-out grillnnBefore you remove any of the grill parts for cleaning.ensure that they are cool, or use oven gloves.The grill pan and grill pan carriage can be easily removed forcleaning.The grill pan and grid should be washed in hot soapy water,or using our recommended Rangemaster cleaning solution.After grilling meats or any foods that soil, leave to soak fora few minutes in the sink immediately after use. Stubbornparticles may be removed from the grid by using a nylonbrush.Alternatively, the grill pan can be washed in a dishwasher.The grill pan can be easily removed for cleaning as follows.Remove the grill pan support frame by pulling the grill panforward (Fig.5-6).Lift the grill pan clear of the support frame. The support frameis held to the side rails by two clips on each side (Fig.5-7).For each side, support the side rail with one hand and withthe other hand lift the frame up and out of the side clips(Fig.5-8).For safety, push the side rails back into the grill chamber.If you need to remove the side rails to allow cleaning of thegrill chamber, you can unhook them from the grill chambersides (Fig.5-9) and wipe the sides clean with a soft cloth andmild detergent.DO NOT put the side runners in a dishwasher.Once you have finished, hook the side rails back onto thesides of the chamber. To refit the frame, pull the side railsforward and, for each side in turn, support the side rail andpress the frame down into the side rails.
