17GB/IECleaning for burned-on spillsBe sure that the heat indicator lights are off andthe hob is cool. Remove excess burned-onsubstance with a single-edged razor scraper.Hold the scraper at approximately a 30° angle tothe surface and scrape off the burned-on matteras you would scrape paint off of a window.IMPORTANT: Take care when using a sharpscraper.When you have removed as much as possiblewith the scraper clean using the daily careprocedure as described above.To remove metal rub-offSliding pans on the hob - especially aluminium orcopper pans can leave marks on the surface.These marks often appear like scratches, butcan be easily removed using the proceduredescribed above for cleaning spills. If the rub-offmarks are especially stubborn, use the cleaningcream together with the razor scraper, using thetechnique described above.Control Panel and Oven DoorsAvoid using any abrasive cleaners includingcream cleaners, e.g. Cif, on brushedStainless Steel surfaces. For best resultsliquid detergents, e.g. Domestos MultiSurface Cleaner, should be used.The control panel and control knobs should onlybe cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in cleanhot soapy water - but take care that no surpluswater seeps into the appliance. Wipe with aclean dampened cloth then polish with a drycloth. The oven doors should only be cleanedwith a soft cloth wrung out in clean hot soapywater.OvenThe ovens have removable panels that havebeen coated with a special enamel that partlycleans itself. This does not stop all marks on thelining, but helps to reduce the amount of manualcleaning needed.The Cook & Clean panels work betterabove 200°C. If you do most of yourcooking below this temperature,occasionally remove the panels and wipewith a lint free cloth and hot soapy water.The panels should then be dried andreplaced and the oven heated at 200°Cfor about one hour. This will ensure theCook & Clean panels are workingeffectively.Don’t use steel wool (Brillo) or any othermaterials that will scratch the surface. Don’t useoven cleaning pads.Removing the Oven LiningsSome of the lining panels can be removed forcleaning and for cleaning behind. Remove theshelves first.The right hand fanned oven has a removableoven roof - slide the roof liner forward andremove.The side panels of either oven can be removed.Each side of the oven is fixed with four fixingscrews. You don’t have to remove the screws toremove the oven linings. Lift each side panelupwards and they will slide off the screws. Thenpull them forwards.Once the linings are removed, the oven enamelinterior can be cleaned.When replacing the linings fit the side liningsfirst.Make sure you fit the oven roof with the slot atthe front.
