You must make a connection on TerminalBlock #3 for temperature control connections. This willbe done based on the controller option selected withyour heater order.For operation with a Temp-Tracker controller, refer tothe Temp-Tracker Installation and OperatingInstructions, Raypak Catalog number 5000.66 (P/N241177).Consult the wiring diagram shipped with the heater inthe instruction packet. The Stage 1 connections are forthe remote tank control through the heaters 24 volttransformer. DO NOT attach line voltage to theStage 1 connection. Before starting heater, check toensure proper voltage to heater and pump.CAUTION: Label all wires prior to disconnectionwhen servicing controls. Wiring errors can causeimproper and dangerous operation. Verify properoperation after servicing.DANGER—SHOCK HAZARD: Make sureelectrical power to the heater is disconnected toavoid potential serious injury or damage tocomponents.NOTE: Minimum 18 AWG, 105°C, stranded wiremust be used for all low voltage (less than 30 volts)external connections to the unit. Solid conductorsshould not be used because they can causeexcessive tension on contact points. Install conduitas appropriate. All high voltage wires must be thesame size (105°C, stranded wire) as the ones on theunit or larger.
