Disengageand reengage the RED-BRICK to the BATTERY PLATE.• Error Message: “Black Shading Failed” - Check recording media/connections and reattempt BlackShading. Refer to BLACK SHADING ERRORS in BLACK SHADING under MAINTENANCE in SETUPunder SYSTEM MENU CONTROLS.• The image looks soft - Re-adjust back focus and make certain the lens is properly collimated. Refer toBACK FOCUS ADJUSTMENT under BASIC OPERATION.• Error Message: “Record Error: NO_DIGMAG” - No media is being detected. Reattempt to mount,check connection and CF pins in Module, power cycle, or try another media.• Error Message: “Valid Settings” - Establish the maximum PROJECT settings for the media you areusing and change the settings accordingly. Refer to PROJECT SETUP under BASIC OPERATION.•• Error Message: “Record Error: RE: INCOMPATIBLE_DIGMAG” - Make sure that you establish theoriginal time base for the media’s project or reformat media. Refer to MEDIA ERRORS under APPEN-DIX B: MANAGING DIGITAL MEDIA.• Error Message: “The Magazine Formatting Failed - No digmag found. Nothing to format” - Themagazine was not recognized during formatting, check your media and connections. Refer to AP-PENDIX B: MANAGING DIGITAL MEDIA.• Error Message: “The Magazine Formatting Failed - The magazine isn’t fast enough to supportthe current project. Please change the project settings before formatting this media.” - Check tomake sure you have the valid PROJECT settings for that particular piece of media. Refer to PROJECTSETUP under BASIC OPERATION.• Error Message: “WARNING! Media removed prior Unmount Data Integrity Risk” - Media needs tobe removed properly. Use the dual key command UNDO+EXIT, or the menu option SYSTEM > MEDIA> UNMOUNT. Refer to APPENDIX B: MANAGING DIGITAL MEDIA.• Error Message: “The CF Card has not been Speed Verified for use on this camera. Only 2k reso-lution recordings are possible. There is an unquantifiable risk of drop frames” - This may occur ifyou are using Non-RED CF cards and/or you have a damaged CF card.• Error Message: “Record Error: NO_MEDIA_PATH” - When you have a card in the camera that isreading unformatted and you should continue by formatting the media. Refer to APPENDIX B: MAN-AGING DIGITAL MEDIA.• Error Message: “SATA_TRANS_FAULT” - The camera is detecting a communications fault betweenthe camera and drives (RED-RAM or RED-DRIVE). The fault it has detected may or may not be severeenough to cause corruptions on the clips, so it is highly recommended that you review the R3D files.Try to narrow the fault to a specific RED DRIVE or DRIVE CABLE, and contact RED Support for furthertroubleshooting at www.red.com/support.
