See the section on“Technical data”.Refer to the instructions for the cutting attach-ment to check the correct way to load thetrimmer line and the correct line diameter.Trimmer headS Only use the recommended cutting at-tachments. See the section on “Technicaldata”.S Smaller machines generally require smalltrimmer heads and vice versa. This is be-cause when clearing using trimmer line theengine must throw out the trimmer line ra-dially from the trimmer head and overcomethe resistance of the grass being cleared.S The length of the trimmer line is also im-portant. A longer trimmer line requiresgreater engine power than a shortertrimmer line of the same diameter.S Make sure that the cutter on the trimmerguard is intact. This is used to cut thetrimmer line to the correct length.S To increase the life of the trimmer line itcan be soaked in water for a couple ofdays. This will make the line tougher sothat it lasts longer.IMPORTANT!Always ensure the trimmer line is woundtightly and evenly around the drum, otherwisethe machine will generate harmful vibration.WARNING: Always stop the en-gine before doing any work on thecutting attachment. This continuesto rotate even after the throttle hasbeen released. Ensure that thecutting attachment has stoppedcompletely and disconnect thelead from the spark plug beforeyou start to work on it.
