Never operate the product when you arefatigued, ill, or upset, or under theinfluence of madication that may make youdrowsy, or if you are under the influenceof alcohol or drugs.2. Never use the product;a: When the ground is slippery or whenyou can't maintain a steady posture.b: At night, at times of heavy fog, or at anyother times when your field of visionmight be limited and it would be difficultto gain a clear view of the working area.c: During rain storms, during lightningstorms, at times of strong or gale-forcewinds, or at any other times whenweather conditions might make itunsafe to use the product.3. Wear the following protective equipmentswhen operating the product.a: Approved helmet to reduce the risk offalling objects.WARNING5. For safe operationb: Approved ear protection to reduce therisk of hearing loss.c: Approved (ANSI Z87.1.) eye protectionand foot protection to reduce the risk ofinjury associated with thrown objects.d: Face filter mask in dusty conditions toreduce the risk of injury associated withthe inhalation of dust.e: Wear sturdy rubber-soled shoes orshoes with some other form of anti-slipprotection to help protect you againstfalling.f: Wear thick anti-vibration gloves toreduce the risk of whitefinger disease.g: Do not wear loose clothing, scarves,neck chains, unconfineed long hair, andlike to reduce the risk of injuryassociated with objects being drawn intoair intake and rotating parts.Personal protective equipment cannoteliminate the risk of injury but it will reducethe degree of injury.4. The ignition system of your unit producesan electromagnetic field of a very lowintensity. This field may interfere with somepacemakers. To reduce the risk of seriousor fatal injury, persons with pacemakershould consult their physician and thepacemaker munufacturer before operatingthis tool.5. The area within a perimeter of 50 feet (15meters) of the person using the productshould be considered a hazardous areainto which no one should enter. Ifnecessary yellow warning rope, warningsigns should be placed around theperimeter of the area.When work is to be performedsimultaneously by two or more persons,care should also be taken to constantlylook around or otherwise check for thepresence and locations of other peopleworking so as to maintain a distancebetween each person sufficient to ensuresafety.6. Avoid using the product where stablefooting and balance are not assured.7. All product service, other than the itemslisted in the Owner's Manual, should beperformed by competent servicepersonnel.8.
