Use of a “decor” switchcauses higher resistance which is a problemon gas fireplaces.12) Final check.Before leaving this unit with the customer, theinstaller must ensure that the appliance is firingcorrectly and operation fully explained tocustomer.LOCATING YOURGAS FIREPLACE1) When selecting a location for your fireplace,ensure that the clearances are met.2) The appliance must be installed on a flat,solid, continuous surface For example awood, metal or concrete floor or in a raised (onthe wall) application. The appliance must beinstalled on a metal or wood panel extendingthe full width and depth of the appliance.3) The HZ42 Direct Vent Gas Fireplace can beinstalled in a recessed position or framed outinto the room as in A, B, C and D.See Diagram 1.Diagram 1A) Flat on WallB) Flat on Wall CornerC) Recessed into Wall/Alcove4) This appliance is Listed for bedroominstallations using the standard Remote(millivolt thermostat system).
