A minimumflue height of 12 feet is recommended. B-Ventmust be supported by a vent support - suppliedby vent manufacturer. See chart on this pagefor minimum distances from roof.The Regency Insert incorporates its own internaldraft hood, so no additional external draft hoodis required.DRAFT HOODCONNECTION1) Attach the vent to the flue collar on the detach-able draft hood. The flue collar of the appliancewill fit inside a standard vent and may be fas-tened directly to the vent by sheet metal screw.Diagram 1.2) Before pushing the appliance into positioninside the fireplace, align the draft hood withthe guides on the insert top and pull forward.While pushing the unit back into place, keeppulling the draft hood forward until the screwhole in the spill tube aligns with the screw holein the draft hood locking tab on the undersideof firebox top. The screw is secured through thedraft hood locking tab into the front of the spilltube. (If screw holes do not line up then drafthood is not positioned correctly.Periodically check that the vent is unrestricted andan adequate draft is present when the unit is inoperation. (See page 8 for spillage test.)Before installing vent system ensure that the damperplate is open and secure to prevent the damper platefrom falling down and crushing the liner.
