R5 SUPREME - Navigation SystemSLAVE DISPLAYS AND REDUNDANT SYSTEMS7000 118-383, P11A1 Page 11611.2 Redundant Navigation SystemsIn a redundant setup, each R5 SUPREME CDU shall be connected a separate R5 NavigationSensor, by a common network, which provides the GNSS data. The common network is alsoneed for the R5 SUPREME CDUs in order to synchronize configuration parameters, waypointand route databases as well as the active route. This section describes how the R5SUPREME Navigation Systems should be configured for the redundant setup to workproperly. The following steps should be done on each R5 SUPREME Navigation System inthe redundant setup: Connect all the R5 SUPREME CDU and the R5 Navigation Sensors to a commonnetwork, by a network switch for example, and make sure it is powered. Make sure that the all connected units has a configured IP address and a unique LWEID. These parameters can be viewed and configured from Main Menu Maintenance Configuration Interface Network Own CDU Settings /Navigation SensorSettingsFigure 108 –CDU Network Settings The R5 SUPREME CDU must now also find all other R5 SUPREME Navigation Systemson the LWE network in order to synchronize configuration, waypoints, active route androute lists. This is done in the Redundant Nav Config view accessed from Main Menu Maintenance Configuration Interface Network Redundant Nav.Figure 109 – Redundant Nav Config
