21ENGLISH10.2.1 AquaClean installation> Remove the AquaClean water filter from its packaging, immerse it vertically in coldwater, with the opening upwards, and slightly press the sides to let air bubbles out.> Insert the AquaClean water filter in the empty water tank. You can leave the smallwater filter installed.> Push the AquaClean water filter to the lowest possible point.> Fill the water tank with fresh water and restore it to the machine.> Dispense half the water contained in the tank as detailed in the “6.4.1 Hot waterdispensing” chapter.> Fill the water tank again.Machine setting phase during the installation> Press the MENU button, confirm by pressing the OK button and scroll the menu togo to the ‘AquaClean Filter function’.> Press the OK button to select the function.The machine will indicate the number of filters which have been used from 0 up to8 filters.> Press the OK button to confirm the activation otherwisePress the ESC button to exit the programming function.The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for3 minutesThe machine is ready for brewing. The AquaClean filter is active.The number of filters used is automatically updated. After the 8th filter the countingwill restart from 0/8.10.2.2 AquaClean replacementAfter a period of usage the ‘AquaClean water filter’ signal starts blinking (forapprox.150 products of 100ml). This means that you have to replace it.The signal will blink faster when it comes close to the expiring time.> Take out the used filter and follow the steps described in chapter “10.2.1 AquaCleaninstallation” chapter.If you don’t replace the filter on time, the machine will ask you to perform a descalingcycle> In ths case, follow the steps as described below “AquaClean filter replacement after8 filters used”.AquaClean filter replacement after 8 filters used> Press the MENU button, confirm by pressing the OK button and scroll the menu togo to the ‘AquaClean Filter function’.> Press the OK button to select the function otherwisePress the ESC button to exit the programming function.The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for3 minutesThe machine needs to be descaled as the series of 8 filter is over.> Perform the instructions described at the “7.5 Descaling cycle” chapter otherwisePress the ESC button twice to exit the programming function.The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for3 minutesAt the end, the machine goes back to the main menu.> When the main menu is displayed, to replace the filter proceed as described in theprevious “10.2.1 AquaClean installation” chapter.The machine will restart the counting of the 8 filter series from 0/8.WATERFILTER0/8FILTER0/8FILTER ONFILTERFILTERWATERFILTER8/8FILTERSTARTCALCCLEANFILTER
