ENPRIMING THE WATER CIRCUITIf the water in the tank is completely finished, you need toprime the water circuit as explained below.1 Fill the water tank. Place a container under the steam / hot waterwand and open the knobslowly by turning it counter-clockwise.2 EXTRA: press the coff ee brew switch.PREMIUM: press the manual brew button.EXTRA PREMIUM3 EXTRA: wait for a steady stream of water to come out from thesteam / hot water wand, press the coff ee brew switch again andclose the knob. When the coff ee brew switch is steadily illumina-ted, the machine is ready.PREMIUM: wait for a steady stream of water to come out from thesteam / hot water wand and for dispensing to stop automatically.Close the knob. The two brew buttons blink during the warm-upphase. When the two brew buttons are steadily illuminated, the ma-chine is ready.4 Remove the container used.STAND-BY function (only for Premium model): the machine au-tomatically activates the stand-by mode after one hour of inactivity toguarantee energy saving. This mode is signalled by the slow blinkingof the dosed coffee brew button. To turn the machine on again simplypress the blinking button.MACHINE SETTING PREPARING THE COFFEEMANUAL COFFEE BREWINGThe machine is ready when thelever is in the off position (backposition) and:EXTRA: the coffee brew switch issteadily illuminated.PREMIUM: the brew buttonsare steadily illuminated.Only Lavazza “A MODO MIO”pods should be placed in the podcompartment. Do not put your fingers or any other object in the com-partment.Single-dose pods brew a single coffee/product. DO NOT use the podsmore than once. Inserting 2 or more pods can cause the machine tomalfunction.To perform the operations listed below, the steam / water knob must beclosed.We recommend pre-warming the mug to always have coffee at idealtemperature. Pull the loading lever forwards until it stops and withoutinserting any pods. Place the mug under the dispensing spout and usethe coffee brew button/switch to dispense a sufficient amount of waterto pre-warm the cup.1 Place the mug/small cup under the dispen-sing spout.2 Lift the pod compartmentdoor, insert a pod and closeit.3 Pull the loading lever for-wards until it stops.4 Press the coff ee brew button/switch and wait for the brewing of thedesired quantity.EXTRA PREMIUMDo not move the lever to the off position while coffee is brewed.5 Press the coffee brew button/switch again to stop brewingand bring the lever back to theoff position.
