E-ENGLISHCutting or Extending the PipeA 24.6ft (7.5m) pipe is supplied with the air conditioner. (optional)The length of the pipe can be: Extended up to “A” Shortened as required If you need a pipe longer than 24.6ft (7.5m): You must extend the assembly cable. For further details on how much refrigerant(R410A) should beadded, refer to Page 13.1 Make sure that you have the required tools (pipe cutter, reamer, flaring tooland pipe holder )2 If you want to shorten the pipe, cut it using a pipe cutter, ensuring that the cutedge remains at 90° with the side of the pipe (see examples of correctly andincorrectly cut edges below )Oblique Rough Burr3 To prevent a gas leak, remove all burrs at the cut edge of the pipe using areamer4 Put a flare nut slightly into the pipe and modify the flareOuter Diameter (D) Depth (A)/4 inch (6 35mm) 0 05 inch ( 3mm)3/8 inch (9 5mm) 0 07 inch ( 8mm)/ inch ( 80mm) 0 08 inch ( 0mm)5/8 inch (5 88mm) 0 09 inch ( mm)5 Check if you flared the pipe correctly (see examples of incorrectly flared pipesbelow )Inclined Damaged Surface Cracked Uneven Thickness6 Align the pipes to connect them easily Tighten the flare nuts first with yourhands, and then with a torque wrench, applying the following torque:Outer Diameter Torque/4 inch (6 35mm) 0 ~ 3ft•lb (40~70 kgf•cm)3/8 inch (9 5mm) 8 ~0 3ft•lb (50~80 kgf•cm)/ inch ( 80mm) 7 5~30 4ft•lb (380~40 kgf•cm)5/8 inch (5 88mm) 3 8~34 7ft•lb (440~480 kgf•cm) Excessive torque can be cause of gas leakageIn case brazing the pipe, the nitrogen gas must be blown into the pipe (50Pa) The joint must be accessible and serviceable7 For further details on how to connect to the outdoor unit and purge the air,refer to page 3installing the air condtionerModel “A”AQV09NAQVN 49 ft(5m)AQV8NAQV4N 98 4ft(30m)
