32System SelectionThe system selection feature of your phone enables you tochoose how your phone will roam. Roaming is a featurewhich is only relevant in areas where there are usually atleast two cellular service providers which are referred to as“A” and “B”and have valid roaming agreements.Your serviceprovider will provide you information about this service orthe best roaming methods for you.u Standard - This option allows you to provide the best sys-tem automatically.u Home Only - with this setting, you cannot roam. If yourhome system is not available then your call will not beconnected and the No Service indicator ( ) is displayed.In some service areas an operator may come on line ask-ing you how you would like to pay for the call.u A Only - In a wireless service area,there are usually twoservice providers which are referred to as A and B.Yourservice provider will provide you information about thiswhen you setup service.With this setting, you will only beable to roam in the “A” network or system.u B Only - This works just like the “A Only” setting exceptyou will only be able to roam in the “B”network or sys-tem.To select the system:1.
