Security reference_ 9210.Security referenceThis chapter explains features SyncThru™ Admin 5 provides for security.This chapter includes:• SSL communication (HTTPS)• User authentication• SNMPv3• User credentialsSSL communication (HTTPS)SSL (RFC5246) stands for Secure Sockets Layer. It is cryptographic protocol that provides secure communication on thenetwork. If you enable SSL, all the data from your browser to SyncThru™ Admin 5 server is encrypted.Related parts are as follows:• From SyncThru™ Admin 5, click Settings menu > Settings > SyncThru Management > HTTP Security > WebServer Configuration.User authenticationFor controlling access to the SyncThru™ Admin 5 server itself, an authentication feature is provided. If you enableauthentication, only registered users can open SyncThru™ Admin 5.
