Getting Started 7Installing the SIM Card and MicroSD CardWhen you subscribe to a cellular network, you are providedwith a plug-in SIM card loaded with your subscription details,such as your PIN, available optional services, and manyothers features. You can also install a MicroSD card (memorycard) to hold additional media (optional).Important! The plug-in SIM card information and its contactscan be easily damaged by scratching or bending,so be careful when handling, inserting, orremoving the card. Keep all SIM cards out of reachof small children.1. Carefully slide the SIM card under the bottom metalplate into the SIM card socket, as shown (1), until thecard locks into place.• Make sure that the card’s gold contacts face into the phoneand that the upper-left angled corner of the card is positionedas shown.Note: If the card is not inserted correctly, the phone will notdetect the SIM card. Re-orient the card back into the slotif the SIM is not detected.2. To insert a MicroSD card, which is optional, carefullyslide the MicroSD card under the top metal plate intothe MicroSD card socket, as shown (2), until the cardlocks into place.
