Select the desired sub-menu from one of the following:• Airplane Mode: when set to On, Airplane Mode disables all radiofunctions of your phone. This prevents you from receiving ormaking calls (except emergency calls), but allows you to use otherfeatures (such as the camera and the Tools) safely in sensitiveenvironments, such as on board an aircraft.• Shortcut Key: lets you set which feature, function, or applicationlaunches when you press the Up, Down, Left, or Right navigationkey while in standby mode.• Language: this option can change the language of voice prompts,menus, and key-input. You can select English or Español(Spanish).• Security: use the Security sub-menu to lock your phone, set upemergency numbers, enable or disable voice privacy, setrestrictions, and other security options. You will need your lock codewhich is by default, the last four digits of your phone number. Thefollowing Security options are available:– Lock Phone: Locking the phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to911 emergency and the three user-programmable emergencynumbers. You can lock the phone manually during use, or set the phoneto lock automatically when it is turned on. With the phone in lock mode,you can answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the phone to placeoutgoing calls (except to emergency and secret numbers).– Change Lock: The default lock code for your phone is generally the lastfour digits of your phone number. It is advisable to change the defaultlock code to a secret code for security purposes.Note: Your phone does not allow you to view the lock code for obvioussecurity reasons. If you change the lock code, be sure to write down ormemorize the new code.– Emergency #: Your phone provides the option of storing threeemergency numbers. Each number can be up to 32 digits in length. Allemergency numbers can be manually called at any time, even whenyour phone is locked or restricted.
