23Getting StartedPINThe Personal Identification Number or PIN (4 to8 digits) protects your SIM card against unauthoriseduse. It is usually supplied with the SIM card.If you enter an incorrect PIN three times in succession,the code is blocked and cannot be used until youunblock it by entering the PUK (see below).To... The PUK may be suppliedwith the SIM card. If not, or you have lost it, contactyour service provider.To change your PIN when the current PIN is blocked,proceed as follows.1. Key in the PUK and press the Ok soft key.2. Enter a new PIN of your choice and press the Oksoft key.3. When the Repeat New PIN message isdisplayed, key in the same code again and pressthe Ok soft key.If you enter an incorrect PUK ten times in succession,the SIM card becomes invalid. Contact your serviceprovider for a new card.
