Section 4: Entering TextThis section describes how to select the desired text inputmethod when entering characters into your phone. Thissection also describes the predictive text entry system thatreduces the amount of key strokes associated with enteringtext.Your phone comes equipped with an orientation detector thatcan tell if the phone is being held in an upright (Portrait) orsideways (Landscape) orientation. This is useful whenentering text.Text Input MethodsThere are three text input methods available:• Samsung keyboard (default): Samsung’s on-screenQWERTY keypad that can be used in both portrait andlandscape orientation.• Google Voice typing: allows you to enter text by speaking.• Swype: a new way to enter text on touch screens.
