20 Multi WindowKnow Your DeviceUsing Multi WindowAfter activating Multi window, you can use it to runmultiple apps at the same time.Note: Multi window is not available for all apps.The apps display together on a split screen. Youcan switch between the apps, adjust the size of theirdisplay on the screen, and copy information fromone app to the other.1. Press and hold the Back key to display theMulti window tray. After a few seconds, the traywill be hidden again.2. Touch and hold an app from the Multi windowtray and drag it to the main window. Drag anothericon into the window to create a split view. Ablue rectangle shows where the apps will snap inplace.You can also launch recently used apps directly intoMulti window view:1. Tap the Recent apps key.2. Recently used apps that support Multi windowhave a Multi window icon in the title bar. Tapthe Multi window icon in the title bar to launchthe application in Multi window view.3. Other recently used apps that supportMulti window appear below the launched app.Tap the app icon to add it to the Multi windowview.Note: Only applications that support Multi windowhave the Multi window icon.Window ControlsTap an application window and tap the Controlbutton in the middle of the windows.Switch windows: Switch the positions oftwo Multi window applications.Move content: Share items between theapplication windows. Drag an item toshare from one window to another. Someapplications may not support this feature.Collapse window: Collapse the selectedwindow.Expand: Open the selected window in fullscreen view.Close application: Close the selected app.Customize Multi WindowYou can customize Multi window to suit yourpreferences.Create a Window GroupIf you use certain apps together in Multi windowoften, you can create a window group to quicklydisplay the two apps in Multi window.The window group will be stored in the Multi windowtray, so you can choose it any time to display thetwo apps.1. Press and hold the Back key to display theMulti window tray, and then drag apps to thewindows.2. Scroll to the bottom of the Multi window tray, andthen tap Tray Controls > Create.
