Finger ScannerUse fingerprint recognition as analternative to entering passwordsin certain apps.You can also use your fingerprintto verify your identity whenlogging in to your Samsungaccount.Register a FingerprintYou can register up to 3 fingerprints. A passwordwill also set up as an alternative to your fingerprint.1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Finger Scanner > Fingerprint manager.• If no fingerprints are registered, the managerautomatically opens the Register fingerprintscreen. To add another fingerprint, tap Addand follow the instructions to register afingerprint and password.• To rename a fingerprint, touch and hold thefingerprint, and then tap Rename.• To delete a fingerprint, touch and hold thefingerprint, and then tap Delete.Change Your Backup Password1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. Tap Finger Scanner >Change backup password.3. Enter your fingerprint or password.Additional Settings1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >Settings.2. For options select:• Screen lock: Change your Screen lockand access Screen lock settings. For moreinformation, see Lock Screen.• Web sign-in: Enable websites to sign-in usingyour fingerprint instead of a username andpassword.• Verify Samsung account: Verify your identityusing your fingerprint when logging in to yourSamsung account.• Pay with PayPal: Use your fingerprint to useyour PayPal account.Note: Fingerprint recognition uses the uniquecharacteristics of each fingerprint to enhance thesecurity of your device. The likelihood of the fingerprintsensor confusing even small areas of two differentfingerprints is very low.
