NOOKVideo offers a wide variety of popular movies and TVshows.NOOK Video supports both streaming anddownloading content. When you purchase or renta movie, you need to select how you will accessit: streaming or downloading. Unlike books andperiodicals, videos do not download automaticallywhen purchased.Streaming means that the content is delivered overan active Wi-Fi connection. You must be connectedto a Wi-Fi Internet connection to watch streamedcontent. Streaming videos does not require anystorage on your NOOK.Note: When streaming content, it’s best to have to astrong Wi-Fi connection.Note: Because of studio licensing requirements, yourNOOK plays HD video files in SD resolution.Download VideosDownloading means that you transfer the NOOKVideo content over a Wi-Fi connection to yourNOOK just as you download other content likebooks and magazines. Once you have downloadeda NOOK Video, you can watch it any time regardlessof whether or not your NOOK is connected to Wi-Fi(though rented content must be watched within therental period, as described below). Unlike streamedvideos, downloaded videos do consume storage onyour NOOK.If you plan to download many videos, you shouldconsider purchasing a microSD card to give yourNOOK extra storage.To configure your NOOK to download video contentto an SD card, rather than to internal storage:1. From a Home screen, tap Apps >NOOK Settings.2. Tap Video.3. Tap Video Download Location to enable.Note: Downloading videos may take some time.The speed of the download will depend on thelength of the video and the bandwidth of your Wi-Finetwork. If you are planning to download a movie towatch it offline (for example, in a location without aWi-Fi network, such as in a car or on a plane), werecommend that you connect your NOOK to a powersource and begin downloading the movie as soon asyou have purchased or rented it.Rent MoviesYou can rent movies on your NOOK.Once you rent an item, you have 30 days to beginwatching it.Once you start watching it, you have 24 hours tofinish watching it before the rental expires. You canwatch the item as many times as you like within that24-hour period.You can stream an item to begin watching it rightaway, or you can download an item to beginwatching it within the 30-day rental period.Note: You may download a rented movie to onlyone device during the rental period, so be sure todownload only on the device on which you intend towatch the movie.
