This is normal and is not a malfunction.•••Record modeUsing the memory card adaptorThis camcorder uses micro SD/micro SDHC memory cards.To use a micro SD/micro SDHC directly with a computer or a card readeryou must attach it to or insert it into an adaptor.Handling a memory cardWe recommend that you power off beforeinserting or removing the memory card toavoid data loss.You have to format newly-purchasedmemory cards, memory cards with datathat your camcorder cannot recognise orwith data saved by other devices. Notethat formatting erases all data on thememory card and deleted data cannot berecovered.A memory card has a certain life span.If you cannot record new data, you have topurchase a new memory card.Do not bend, drop, or subject the card tostrong impacts.Do not place foreign substances on thememory card terminals. Use a soft drycloth to clean the terminals if required.Do not paste anything other than labelprovided with the card on the label pastingsection.Be careful to keep the memory card out ofthe reach of children, who might swallow it.Make sure to format the memory cardon this camcorder. If the memory cardhad been formatted by a PC or otherdevice, using it on this camcorderwithout formatting may fi nd trouble withrecording and/or playback. Samsung isnot responsible for damage of recordedcontents caused by such reasons.••••••••The data storage speed may differ,depending on the manufacturer andproduction system.SLC (Single Level Cell) system: fasterwrite speed enabled.MLC (Multi Level Cell) system: onlylower write speed is supported.For best results, we recommend usinga memory card that supports a fasterwrite speed. Using a lower write speedmemory card for recording video maycause diffi culties when storing. You mayeven lose your video data during therecording.In an attempt to preserve every bit of therecorded video, the camcorder forciblystores the video on the memory card anddisplays a warning:“Low speed card.
