You can use this function if color is affected bythe type and quality of the light source. For example, fluorescent lampscan give colors in a photo a bluish hue. To offset this effect, select a WhiteBalance option that adjusts the camera‘s settings for the light source. Youcan also adjust the White Balance by manually adjusting the camera‘sColor Temperature setting.In addition, you can also customize the preset White Balance options sothat the colors of the photo match the actual scene under mixed lightingconditions.To set the WhiteBalance, In Shooting mode, press [C] ĺ an option.* DefaultIcon DescriptionAuto WB*: Automatically adjust the white balance settings for thelight source.Auto WB+Tungsten: Automatically adjust the white balancesettings for the light source except when shooting underincandescent or halogen lamps. This option does not offset thereddish hue of incandescent or tungsten bulbs.Daylight: Select when taking outdoor photos on a sunny day. Thisoption results in photos closest to the natural colors of the scene.Cloudy: Select when taking outdoor photos on a cloudy day or inshadows. Photos captured on cloudy days tend to be more bluishthan on sunny days. Fill the spot metering circle with the paper and setthe White Balance.Color Temperature: Manually adjust the color temperature ofthe light source. Color temperature is a measurement in degreesKelvin that indicates the specific type of light source. You can get awarmer photo with a higher value, and a cooler photo with a lowervalue.
