Samsung OfficeServ 100 System Administration Guide17PROGRAM SPEED DIAL NUMBERSAND NAMESThere are five distinct options for Speed Dial programming:• Program System Speed Dial Numbers• Program System Speed Dial Names• Program Personal Speed Dial Numbers for Stations• Program Personal Speed Dial Names for Stations• Assign Speed Dialling BlocksSpeed dialling provides a quick way of dialling phone numbers by assigning 3-digit speed dialcodes to frequently-dialled numbers. To dial a phone number, a station user simply dials the 3-digitcode. If a name is associated with the number, the user can do a directory search to quickly find thespeed dial number.1500 speed dial numbers are supported. These can be set as both system and personal speed di-alling numbers. System numbers are available to all station users; personal numbers are assignedto individual stations. Speed dial numbers are assigned to the system or each station in “blocks”,each block allowing up to 10 phone numbers to be entered. For example, if five blocks are assignedto a station, up to 50 phone numbers can be stored as speed dials for that station, with associatednames if desired.Individual station users can program their own personal speed dial numbers and names which onlythey can access (refer to your Samsung keyset or phone User Guide for details). However, whennecessary, the system administrator can set, view or change any station’s personal speed dials.Note: For even faster dialling, speed dial numbers can be assigned to programmed speed dial keys for “one-touch” speed dialling. See Program Station Key Extenders.• PROGRAM SYSTEM SPEED DIAL NUMBERS[MMC 705]The system list can hold 200 system speed dial numbers by default, but this can be increased inblocks of 10. Depending on how your system is programmed, the maximum amount is either 500 or950. All of these can be set as system speed dials provided they are not already assigned to exten-sions as personal speed dials. Refer to your system installer to increase or decrease the systemlist.Speed dial codes are 500 –999 (500 speed dials) or 050 –999 (950 speed dials). Each speed dialnumber consists of a line access code and the telephone number to be dialled. The access codecan be any line group, individual line, station group or individual extension. The speed dial numbercan be up to 24 characters long including 4, #, FLASH and PAUSE.Note: If Least Cost Routing (LCR) is being used, the LCR access code must be entered.PROGRAM KEYS FOR SPEED DIALLINGIn addition to the normal programming keys, your keyset has keys designated A, B, C, D, E and F.Keys B–F are used to insert special digits or perform special functions during speed dial program-ming. These are shown in the following layouts.
