You’rereturned to the message creation screen.Receiving New MessagesWhen you receive a message instandby mode, one of the followingoccurs:• If Auto View is set to On — An alertsounds (unless turned off) and themessage text automatically appears inthe display and scrolls slowly to theend of the message. (For moreinformation, refer to “MessageSettings” on page 71.)• If Auto View is set to Off — An alertsounds (unless turned off) and a NewMessage notification appears in the display along with the closedenvelope icon ( ). The date and time of the message and thefollowing options also appear in the display:– View Now — Opens the message where you have the option to Reply,Forward, Erase, Add To Contacts, Lock/Unlock, Save Quick Text, SaveMedia, or Message Info.– View Later — Closes the popup and saves the message to your inboxwhere you can view it later. Touch and drag the slider to the desired option.Receive Messages in Chat ViewWhen you exchange a series of textmessages with a single Contact ornumber, you can view yourincoming messages and your sentmessages as if they were a “chatsession”.Note: To use Chat View, you must set theMessage Settings ➔ Text Msg View➔ View Mode setting to Chat.
