Signal Strength Indicator: This icon represents the signal strengthby displaying bars. The more bars displayed, the better thesignal strength.3. Display Screen: This screen displays all the information neededto operate your phone.4. Left Softkey Option: This option is selected when you press theLeft Softkey on the phone. This option changes depending onthe menu displayed on screen.5. Headset Jack: Allows you to plug in an optional headset for safe,convenient hands-free conversations.6. Ready Link Key: Press to activate Sprint PCS Ready Link mode(see "Using Sprint PCS Ready Link" on page 110).7. Left Softkey: Allows you to select the left softkey option thatcorresponds to the bottom left line of the display screen.8. OK/Menu Key: When you press it displays the main menu. Italso allows you to navigate through the menus by acceptingthe highlighted choice.9. Volume Key: Allows you to adjust the ringer volume in standbymode (with the flip open) or adjust the voice volume during acall. The volume key can also be used to scroll up or down tonavigate through the different menu options. To mute theringer during an incoming call, press the volume key up ordown.10. TALK Key: Allows you to place or receive a call. In standbymode, press the key once to access the recent call log. If youpress and hold the key down, you will initiate the VoiceRecognition feature.11. Voicemail Key: Press and hold to automatically dial yourvoicemail.12. Numeric Keypad: Use these keys to enter numbers, letters, andcharacters.
