It allows you to recharge your battery before it isfully drained. It provides up to 3 hours of continuous digital talktime (up to 1.7 hours in analog) or up to 2.5 days of continuousdigital standby time (up to 18 hours in analog) with Sprint PCSReady Link enabled, or up to 9 days continuous digital standby timewith Sprint PCS Ready Link disabled.The optional extended battery provides up to 5.2 hours ofcontinuous digital talk time (up to 2.7 hours in analog) or up to 4days of continuous digital standby time (up to 26 hours in analog)with Sprint PCS Ready Link enabled, or up to 14 days continuousdigital standby time with Sprint PCS Ready Link disabled.When the battery reaches 5% of its capacity, the battery icon blinks.When there are approximately two minutes of talk time left, thephone sounds an audible alert and then powers down.Note: Extended backlight settings in excess of the default setting (8 sec),searching for service, vibrate mode, and browser use affect thebattery’s talk and standby times.Tip: Be sure to watch your phone’s battery level indicator and charge thebattery before it runs out of power.
