Tighten the compression nut ( B ) into the 1/4”compression fitting.- If you are using copper tubing, slip thecompression nut ( B ) (not included) and ferrule(not included) on copper tubing (not included)as shown.- If you are using plastic tubing ( B ) , insert themolded end (Bulb) of the plastic tubing ( B ) intothe compression fitting.CAUTIONDo not use without the molded end(Bulb) of theplastic tubing ( B ).2. Tighten the compression nut ( B ) into thecompression fitting. Do not over-tighten thecompression nut ( B ).3. Turn water on and check for any leakage.Only connect the water line to a drinkablewater source.If you have to repair or disassemble thewater line, cut off 1/4” of the plastic tubingto make sure you get a snug, leak-freeconnection.Removing residual matter inside the watersupply line after installing filterLOCKWaterIceLOCK1. Turn ON the main water supply.2. Press the Water button and push the dispenserpad.3. Flush 3 gallons of water through the filter beforeuse.(Flush approximately 6 minutes.)This will clean the water supply system andremove air from the lines.4. Additional flushing may be required in somehouseholds.5. Open the refrigerator door and make sure thereare no water leaks coming from the water filter.A newly installed water filter cartridge maycause water to briefly spurt from the waterdispenser.This is due to air getting into the line.
