12_ setting upCHECKING THE WATERDISPENSER LINE (OPTIONAL)A water dispenser is just one of the helpful featureson your new Samsung refrigerator. To help promotebetter health, the Samsung water fi lter removesunwanted particles from your water. However, itdoes not sterilize or destroy microorganisms. Youwill need to purchase a water purifying system to dothat. In order for the icemaker to operate properly,water pressure of 138 ~862 Kpa is required. Undernormal conditions, a 170 cc paper cup can be fi lledin 10 seconds. If the refrigerator is installed in an areawith low water pressure (below 138 Kpa), you caninstall a booster pump to compensate for the lowpressure. Make sure the water storage tank insidethe refrigerator is properly fi lled. To do this, press thewater dispenser lever until the water runs from thewater outlet.Water Line installation Kits are included. You canfi nd it in one of the freezer drawers.USING THE ICE MAKER (OPTIONAL)To Remove the Ice Bucket- Hold the handle as shown in fi gure1.- Slightly pull up the bottom part.- Take out the ice bucket slowly.To Refi t The Ice Bucket- Assemble it in the reverseorder of disassembly.- Push the bucket in fi rmly untilyou hear a clicking sound.- When the bucket does not fi tinto its place, turn the gearhandle on its back by 90degrees and reinstall it againas shown in fi gure 2.Normal Operation- Any sounds you hear whenthe ice maker dumps ice intothe bucket are part of normaloperation.- Not dispensing ice for longperiods may cause iceclumps in the ice bucket.Remove the remaining iceand empty the bucket.- When ice does not comeout, Check for any ice stuckin the chute and remove it.- The fi rst batch of ice cubes maybe small due to air in the pipeafter connection, any air will bepurged during normal use.- When ICE OFF blinks on the display panel,reinsert the bucket and/or make sure it’sinstalled properly.- When the door is open, the Ice and waterdispenser do not work.- If you close the door hard, it may causewater spilling over the ice maker.- To prevent dropping the ice bucket, useboth hands when removing it.- To prevent injury, be sure to clean up anyice or water that may have dropped onthe fl oor.- Do not let children hang on the ice dispenseror on the bucket.They may get hurt.- Be sure not to put your hand or any objectinto the ice chute.It may cause personal injury or damagemechanical parts.INSTALLING THE WATERDISPENSER LINEFor Interior modelParts for water line InstallationConnecting to the water supply line1. fi rst, shut off the main water supply line.2. locate the nearest cold, drinking water line.3. follow the Water line Installation Instructions in theinstallation kit.Figure2Ice ChuteIce ChuteFigure1CAUTIONCAUTIONThe water line must be connectedto the cold water pipe.
