1918Basic functions.Making a call.To place a call:1. Press and hold to power on your Phone. Ifyou see indicators on the display, this indicatesyour phone is on. Note that you will not hear adial tone.2. Enter the phone number (up to 32 digits) bypressing the digit keys.The phone numberdisplays from left to right.3. Press .The phone places the call to theentered phone number (if service is available).You can also make calls;from your Internal Phone Book(see “The Internal Phone Book.” on page 55).from your Call Logs list (see “Keeping track ofyour calls using Call Logs.” on page 74).by using One-,Two-, or Three-Touch Dialing(see “Memory Dialing Shortcuts.” on page 61).Ending a call.To end a call, close the flip or press .The calltime (length of the call) displays, along with thename and number of the called party (if available).The phone returns to Standby mode automatically.¤¤¤Power Save mode.Your Phone comes with a Power Save feature thatwill automatically be activated if your phone isunable to find a signal after 15 minutes of searching.While this feature is active, the phone’s batterycharge is conserved.The phone will automaticallyrecheck for a signal periodically.To manually forcethe phone to recheck for a signal, press any key.A message on the display will let you know whenyour phone is operating in Power Save mode.Conversation mode.You can place and answer calls only when yourPhone is powered on. During a call, the phone is inConversation mode.
