And your phone transmits text mes-sages and pages(if your system supplier provides thisservice). When the phone receives a message, an alertsounds, and a text notification displays. The messageindicator( ) remains on the screen until you readthe pending text messages or until you listen to thevoicemail notification messages.When message memory reaches 75 percent capacity,the screen displays a text notification and a prompt toerase old messages. At 100 percent capacity, thescreen displays a text notification and rejects addition-al incoming messages until you erase some of thestored messages.The phone automatically adjusts the incoming mes-sage alert volume to the lowest setting when the phoneis in Conversation mode.Incoming voicemail notification and text messagestransmit even when the phone is in Lock mode. Toaccess a message, or to return a call other than anemergency number, enter the lock code.• Contact your service provider to activate MessageService. Not currently available in all markets.• Voicemail notification and page message servicemay not be supported according to the serviceprovider.Reviewing MessagesYour phone accepts incoming messages in bothStandby and Conversation modes. When a new mes-sage arrives, an alert sounds, and the message headerdisplays. The message header includes the type ofmessage(Text, Page, Voicemail Notification) and thename/phone number, if available.You can review the message upon notification or storethe message for later review. The Messages menu pro-vides options for reviewing the name/phone number ofthe sender, date/time stamp, priority, and the message.Your phone can store up to about 10 pages and textmessages, depending on the length of the message.You can erase an individual message after reviewingit, or erase all stored messages at one time.To review voicemail messages:1 Press to display the Messages Menu.2 Press for Inbox. The number of new messagesdisplays next to the associated message type in themenu.3 Press for Voicemail.
