Faulty service may void thewarranty. There are several simple guidelines to operating yourphone properly and maintaining safe, satisfactory service.• To ensure that the Hearing Aid Compatibility rating for your phone ismaintained, secondary transmitters such as Bluetooth and WLANcomponents must be disabled during a call. For more information,refer to “Turning Bluetooth On or Off” on page 111.• If your phone is equipped with an external antenna, hold the phonewith the antenna raised, fully-extended and over your shoulder.• Do not hold, bend or twist the phone's antenna, if applicable.• Do not use the phone if the antenna is damaged.• If your phone is equipped with an internal antenna, obstructing theinternal antenna could inhibit call performance.• Speak directly into the phone's receiver.• Avoid exposing your phone and accessories to rain or liquid spills. Ifyour phone does get wet, immediately turn the power off and removethe battery. If it is inoperable, call Customer Care for service.Availability of Various Features/Ring TonesMany services and features are network dependent and mayrequire additional subscription and/or usage charges. Dropping it, especially on a hardsurface, can potentially cause damage to the phone and battery. If yoususpect damage to the phone or battery, take it to a service center forinspection.• Never use any charger or battery that is damaged in any way.• Do not modify or remanufacture the battery as this could result inserious safety hazards.• If you use the phone near the network's base station, it uses lesspower; talk and standby time are greatly affected by the signalstrength on the cellular network and the parameters set by thenetwork operator.• Follow battery usage, storage and charging guidelines found in theuser’s guide.
