With the battery in position on the phone, plugthe connector of the travel adapter into thejack at the bottom of the phone.Make sure that the arrow on the connector isfacing up, as is the phone.2. Plug the adapter into a standard AC wall outlet.The battery strength icon on the display showsthat the battery is charging.3. When charging is finished, unplug the adapterfrom both the power outlet and the phone bypressing the buttons on both sides of theconnector and pulling the connector out.Note: You must unplug the charger before removingthe battery from the phone during charging;otherwise, the phone could be damaged.Getting started19Low battery indicatorYou can easily tell if your battery needs to berecharged by checking the Battery Status icon( )at the upper-right corner of your phone’s display.The presence of all three bars indicates a fullcharge, two bars indicates a smaller charge, andone bar indicates an even smaller charge.When the battery charge level becomes low, thebattery sensor blinks an empty Battery Status icon( ) and sounds a warning tone. If the battery levelbecomes too low, the phone automatically turns off.When this happens, you lose whatever you aredoing and if in a call your phone call cuts off. Watchthe Battery Status icon and make sure that yourbattery is adequately charged.
