The phone begins searching for a network signal.3. Once the phone finds a signal, the time, date, and dayappear in the second line of the display.4. You’re now ready to place and receive calls.Note: If you are outside of your carrier’s coverage or roaming area, the NoService icon ( ) appears at the top of the phone’s display. If youcannot place or receive calls, try later when service is available, or atanother location.Turn Your Phone Off1. With your phone on and unlocked, press and hold the Endkey ( ), on the top right of the phone, for two ormore seconds. The Phone options menu pops-up in thedisplay. (For more information, refer to “Lock Mode” onpage 17.)2. Touch Power off. You are prompted to confirm that youwant to power off your phone.3. Touch Yes. Your phone powers off.Note: If your phone is on and you press for less than one second, thephone will not power off.
