(For more information, refer to “Voice Memo”on page 88, “Calendar” on page 92, and “Your Contacts List” onpage 34.)• Check — Lets you check your phone's status (that is, networkcoverage, signal strength, and battery in the same report), networkcoverage, signal strength, battery, and phone number.Note: Speaking clearly, say the command that you want to use. If, after a fewseconds, the device has not recognized a command, it prompts you torepeat the command. If, after a few more seconds, it still has notrecognized a command, it tells you “Sorry, no match found,” andcancels voice recognition.Voice Command Tips:• Make sure you wait for the beep before speaking.• Speak clearly at a normal volume, as if you were talking on the phone.Voice-Activating Your Contacts ListWhen you first start VoiceSignal, it reads your Contacts list andvoice-activates all the names stored there. When you have add orchange contacts, VoiceSignal automatically reloads and voice-activates the entire list.Ending Calls Before Restarting the VoiceSignal SoftwareWhen you use VoiceSignal to make a call, you must end that callbefore you can use VoiceSignal again.Voice SettingsChoice ListsVoiceSignal uses choice lists when it is not confident it hascorrectly recognized a name or number. In this case, it candisplay a list of up to three possible choices, and prompt you toconfirm the correct one.You can change the way that VoiceSignal uses choice lists withname dialing, digit dialing, and contacts. For each feature, youcan choose to always see a choice list (even if there is only onechoice), or never see a choice list (even if there are multiplechoices). If you leave the setting at “Automatic,” VoiceSignaldisplays a choice list only when it is not confident it has correctlyrecognized the name or number.To change the way VoiceSignal uses choice lists:1. From the Voice SVC menu, select Voice Settings ➔Choice Lists the following options appear in the display:• Automatic—VoiceSignal displays a choice list only when it is notsure if it has correctly recognized the name or number.• Always On—VoiceSignal always displays a choice list, even whenthere is only one choice.
