Allowing unqualifiedpersonnel to service your phone may result in damage to yourphone and service may void the warranty.There are several simple guidelines to operating your phoneproperly and maintaining safe, satisfactory service.• To ensure that the Hearing Aid Compatibility rating for your phone ismaintained, secondary transmitters such as Bluetooth and WLANcomponents must be disabled during a call. For more information,refer to “Turn Bluetooth On/Off” on page 56.• If your phone is equipped with an external antenna, hold the phonewith the antenna raised, fully-extended and over your shoulder.• Do not hold, bend or twist the phone's antenna, if applicable.• Do not use the phone if the antenna is damaged.• If your phone is equipped with an internal antenna, obstructing theinternal antenna could inhibit call performance.• Speak directly into the phone's receiver.• If your phone has a SIM or memory card: (i) handle the SIM or memorycard with care, (ii) do not remove a card while the phone is transferringor accessing information, as this could result in loss of data and/ordamage to the card of phone, (iii) protect cards from strong shocks,static electricity, and electrical noise from other devices, and (iv) donot touch gold-colored contacts or terminals with your fingers or metalobjects (if dirty, wipe the card with a soft cloth).• Avoid exposing your phone and accessories to rain or liquid spills. Ifyour phone does get wet, immediately turn the power off and removethe battery. If it is inoperable, call Customer Care for service.Availability of Various Features/Ring TonesMany services and features are network dependent and mayrequire additional subscription and/or usage charges. Dropping it, especially on a hardsurface, can potentially cause damage to the phone and battery. If yoususpect damage to the phone or battery, take it to a service center forinspection.• Never use any charger or battery that is damaged in any way.
