3.4 CopyUsing Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)1 Insert your document face up, with the top edge leading intothe ADF. Adjust the document guides to the width of thedocument.You can insert up to 30 sheets at a time.2 Gently feed it in until “DOCUMENT READY” appears in thedisplay.Problem Documents• To prevent document jams in the ADF, do not use any of thefollowing:- Wrinkled or creased paper- Carbon paper or carbon-backed paper- Curled or rolled paper- Coated paper- Torn paper- Onion skin or thin paper• Remove all staples, paper clips, or any other fasteners beforeloading the document into the ADF.• Make sure any glue, ink, or correction fluid on the paper iscompletely dry before loading the document into the ADF.• If you have a document that will not feed properly into the ADF,make a photocopy of the document and load the copy instead.Document guide
