TroubleshootingReplace new cartridge The indicated toner cartridge has almost reached its estimatedcartridge life.Estimated cartridge life means the expected orestimated toner cartridge life, which indicates theaverage capacity of print-outs and is designed pursuantto ISO/IEC 19752 (see "Available supplies" on page 71).The number of pages may be affected by operatingenvironment, percentage of image area, printinginterval, media, percentage of image area, and mediasize. Some amount of toner may remain in the cartridgeeven when replace new cartridge appears and themachine stops printing.• You can choose Stop or Continue as shown on the control panel.If you select Stop, the printer stops printing and you cannot printany more without changing the cartridge. If you select Continue,the printer keeps printing but the printing quality cannot beguaranteed.• Replace the toner cartridge for the best print quality when thismessage appears. Using a cartridge beyond this stage can result inprinting quality issues (see "Replacing the toner cartridge" onpage 77).Samsung does not recommend using a non-genuineSamsung toner cartridge such as refilled or remanufactured.Samsung cannot guarantee a non-genuine Samsung tonercartridge's quality.
