67Text MessagesShort Message Service (SMS) allows you to sendand receive short text messages to and from otherGSM mobile phones. In addition, your phonesupports the Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS),which enables you to include simple pictures,melodies, and animated images in your messages.To use this feature, you must subscribe to yourservice provider’s message service.When the Message icon ( ) appears, you havereceived new text messages. If the memory is full,an error message displays and you cannot receiveany new messages. Use the Delete option in eachmessage box to delete the obsolete ones.Note: You can quickly enter the Text Messagesmenu by pressing the Left key in Idle mode.Inbox (Menu 1.1)This message box is used to store the messagesthat you have received.When you enter this menu, the list of messages inthe box displays with the senders’ phone numbersor names, if available in your Phonebook.1. Select a message from the list and press theView soft key to read the message contents.2. To scroll through the contents, press the Up orDown key.3. To scroll to the previous or next message, pressthe or key.
