Menu functions Messages (Menu 5)67If you set this option to Not used, you can use theCheck new mail feature to check your e-mailmanually.Read reply: determine whether or not the phonesends a read-reply for incoming e-mails.If you select Announce, the phone reminds you tosend a read-reply.Retrieve option: determine whether the phoneretrieves headers only or the entire e-mail.Delete option: determine whether e-mails aredeleted immediately or the next time you connectto the server.Reject if over: determine the maximum size forincoming e-mails. Your phone will reject e-mailsthat exceed the specified size.Leave a copy of messages on the server: leavecopies of e-mails after retrieving.• Email account: set up your e-mail accounts andselect one to be used:Current account: select an account.Account settings: configure up to five e-mailaccounts using different e-mail servers. Set theoptions available for each account:- In use: select this option to use the account andto display the account in the Email box.- Account name: enter a name for the currentlyselected account.- User name: enter a name to be displayed as thesender’s name in your outgoing e-mails.- Email address: enter your e-mail address.- Reply address: enter your e-mail address to beused when the recipient sends a reply.- User ID: enter your e-mail ID.- Password: enter your e-mail password.- SMTP server: enter the IP address or domainname of the outgoing e-mail server.- SMTP port: enter the SMTP port number.- Protocol type: select the protocol for theincoming e-mail server. The remaining optionsdepend on the protocol type setting.
