Getting connected148Connecting to the Internet or yournetworkYou can use the Connections settings to create dial-up,Virtual Private Network (VPN), GPRS, and proxyconnections so that you can connect to the Internet or yourcorporate network. By using a data connection, you canbrowse the Internet, download e-mails, chat by usingMSN® Messenger, or synchronise remotely with anExchange Server. Check with your service provider to see ifa data connection has already been set up for you, and ifover-the-air configuration is supported.Creating a dial-up connectionYou can create a dial-up connection to connect remotely tothe Internet, a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)network, or your corporate network. Then, when you opena program that is configured to use this connection, thephone uses it to automatically connect to the network.1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key.2.
