You can switch your phoneto Vibrate Mode with one touch of a key.In Standby mode, press and hold down until“Enter! Vibrate Mode” and the Vibrator icon ( )display.To exit and reactivate the previous sound settings,press and hold again until “Exit! VibrateMode” appears. The Vibrator icon no longerdisplays.1-Beep ModeIn 1-Beep mode, your phone beeps only oncewhen a call or SMS is incoming. You can switchyour phone to the 1-Beep mode with one touch ofa key.In Standby mode, press and hold until“Entering 1-Beep Mode” displays.To exit and reactivate the previous sound settings,press and hold again until “Exit 1-Beep Mode”displays.23Call FunctionsMaking a CallTo make a call:1. In Standby mode, enter the area code andphone number.2. Press . The phone places the call to theentered phone number.Note: If you have activated the Auto Redial menu(Menu 7-1-3), the phone automaticallyretries to make the call up to 10 times when aconnection fails. See page 88 for moreinformation.Using the Dialling OptionsWhile entering a phone number, you can use thefollowing options by pressing the Options softkey.Speed Dial: allows you to use the Speed Diallingfeature. For details, see page 25. This optiondisplays only when you enter a number which canbe a Phone Book memory location.4-digit Dial: allows you to use the 4-digit Diallingfeature. For details, see page 26. This optiondisplays only when you enter a 4-digit number.Call: places a call to the number you entered.Save: allows you to save the number you enteredin Phone Book.
