Toenter Chinese text, the phone provides severalwidely used pronunciation based (Pinyin) andcharacter shape based (Stroke) input methods tomeet the preferences of different users, allowingfor greater convenience and ease of use.You can also enter any combination of Chinesecharacters, alphabets, numbers, and specialsymbols including punctuation marks.The following text input modes are available onyour phone:• Pinyin mode• Chinese Simplified Stroke mode• Quick English mode• English mode• Chinese Traditional Stroke mode• Number mode• Symbolic mode• Help modeDirections for using each of the text input modesappear later in this section.Changing the Text Input ModeWhen you are in a field that allows characters tobe entered, you will notice the text input modeindicator on the display.Example: Entering a name for a phonebookentryYou can change between Chinese and Englishinput methods or to numbers input.
